Golf Punk: Lumine Golf Club Named ‘Europe’s Best Golf Venue’ at World Golf Awards
Situated 100km south of Barcelona in Costa Daurada, Spain’s Golden Coast, Lumine Golf Club is currently named ‘Europe’s Best Golf Venue’ (World Golf Awards) and has two high-quality golf courses, The Hills and The Lakes, both of which have played host to the European Tour’s Final Qualifying Stage since 2017.

Strait Times: Sentosa Golf Club is the world's first golf club to join the UN Sports for Climate Action Initiative
The Sentosa Golf Club (SGC) has become the world's first golf club to join the United Nations' Sports for Climate Action Initiative, after signing the initiative following its collaboration with international golf sustainability non-profit organisation GEO Foundation on Friday (July 31). Sentosa Golf Club became the first golf club to join the United Nation’s Sports for Climate Action Initiative on Friday (31 July). The golf club, which was named World’s Best Golf Club by World Golf Awards last year, will commit to a set of five agreed principles and incorporating them into its club strategy, policies, and procedures, as well as communicating them to their wider sporting community within Singapore and other golf clubs around the world.

Yahoo!: Sentosa Golf Club joins UN Sports for Climate Action initiative
Sentosa Golf Club became the first golf club to join the United Nation’s Sports for Climate Action Initiative on Friday (31 July). The initiative aims to support and guide sports organisations and their communities on a path to achieving the global climate goals set out by world leaders in the Paris Agreement. The golf club, which was named World’s Best Golf Club by World Golf Awards last year, will commit to a set of five agreed principles and incorporating them into its club strategy, policies, and procedures, as well as communicating them to their wider sporting community within Singapore and other golf clubs around the world.

Khmer Times: 1st MOI-China Embassy Friendship Tournament held
Top officials from the Ministry of Interior recently engaged their counterparts from the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia in a friendly golf tournament. The 1st Annual Ministry of Interior vs China Embassy Friendship Tournament was held over the weekend at the Vattanac Golf Resort in Phnom Penh. Designed by British golfing legend Nick Faldo and managed by Troon, the world’s largest gold club management firm, the Vattanac Golf Resort is among the best golf courses in Cambodia. The resort is also among the nominees in this year’s World Golf Awards.

The resort’s reopening comes coincides with La Finca Resort being nominated as Spain´s Leading Sports Resort at the World Travel Awards 2020 and Spain´s Best Golf Hotel at the World Golf Travel Awards 2020 – a duo of accolades which the venue won in 2019.

Discover Madeira, the consumer-facing brand of the Madeira Promotion Bureau, has been working with the local and Portuguese authorities to ensure that the islands, which were hailed as the “world’s best emerging golf destination” at last year's World Golf Awards are a “safe destination” for travellers.
