Planning a golf trip to Spain in 2026? Well, you might want to keep reading.

International golfers, holidaymakers, and the wider golf industry voted for ‘Spain’s best golf course’ at last month’s 2025 World Golf Awards. And this is what they chose…

Son Muntaner, the championship course at Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca, is the No.1 track for visitors, highlights the flagship course’s status as a top-tier European destination.

Bernat Llobera, director of golf at Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca, said: “To be chosen as Spain’s best by public vote is a tremendous honour.

“It acknowledges the championship quality of the course, from the inspired design to our cutting-edge sustainability work. This recognition is for the entire Arabella team, confirming our position not just as a beautiful course, but as a leader in Spanish golf.”

Opened in 2000, the 7,000-yard course at Son Muntaner was designed by German architect Kurt Rossknecht and features two seamlessly linked loops of nine. They showcase Mallorca’s natural contours, with historic stone dykes and subtle elevation changes seen throughout.

Meanwhile, unique hourglass-shaped greens ensure each hole demands a precise aim.

It’s part of European Tour Destinations, a network of world class venues, and has plenty of championship pedigree. You might remember it playing host to the DP World Tour’s 2022 Mallorca Golf Open or the 2023 Mallorca Ladies Golf Open on the Ladies European Tour.

It’s been recently upgraded, too. Those enhancements include a new fleet of electric buggies and the introduction of TopTracer technology at the driving range.

And if you want more golf whilst you’re at the resort, you’re in luck. The Mediterranean’s premier golf destination is part of a 63-hole golf experience. The resort includes three 18-hole championship courses, a nine-hole short course, a golf academy, and two luxurious hotels.
