Golf Punk: Abu Dhabi Golf Club recognised at World Golf Awards

It’s the second year in a row that the club has scooped some of the top awards in the Middle East, as the formal presentations were made at the La Manga Club in Spain where the leading players in the golf industry gathered.

Abu Dhabi Golf Club boasts a world class championship course, which holds the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA. It’s an event that has just been elevated to Rolex Series status following the 2019 schedule announcement by the European Tour. This tournament is widely considered the unofficial ‘season-opener’ for the European Tour and has been a mainstay in the calendar for 13 years.

Each year it presents one of golf’s best conditioned tournament courses and always welcomes the strongest of fields, attracting big name players such as World Number 1 Dustin Johnson, Tommy Fleetwood, Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler, hence being recognised as the ‘Home of Champions’. In part, the world-famous conditioning and administration is a result of Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s close relationship with Troon, the world leader in upscale golf course management. The course is therefore in amazing condition all year round, offering top golf to anyone visiting the capital of the UAE.

In addition to a flawless championship course, the club has a unique floodlit 9-hole Garden course and a wide range of luxury facilities. The World Golf Awards have thus recognised the quality of golf available at Abu Dhabi Golf Club, and awarded them with the title of region leader at their 5th annual awards ceremony.
